Global Weekend of Racing for AERO™ Advanced Paint Technology

AERO™ Advantage In Action From the Brickyard to the Nurburgring

Indianapolis, Ind. (26 May 2016) – With iconic events including the Indianapolis 500, NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte and Formula 1’s annual visit to Monaco, Memorial Day Weekend is the highlight of the year for most motorsports fans.

AERO™ Advanced Paint Technology will look to add new chapters of success this weekend, with the technology being deployed on racetracks around the globe for some of the biggest events the sport has on offer.

With a one-coat process, AERO™ Advanced Paint Technology provides teams with a lightweight, aerodynamic, and incredibly strong film-based paint solution for competition machinery. The AERO™ advantage also includes an unmatched visual aesthetic as well as significant environmental benefits from being PVC-free and nearly VOC-free.

Five AERO™ equipped drivers will look to earn the most-cherished spot on the Borg-Warner trophy as history will be made with the 100th-running of the Indianapolis 500.

2015 Indy Lights Champion and Indianapolis 500 rookie Spencer Pigot and his Rahal Letterman Racing teammate Graham Rahal have both impressed with their AERO™-liveried entries this month and will look to add their names to the list of winners on Sunday.

Three of those machines belong to the Indianapolis 500 icon that is AJ Foyt, with Takuma Sato driving the No. 14 ABC Supply Honda/Dallara, Alex Tagliani piloting the No. 35 Alfe Heat Treating Honda/Dallara, and Jack Hawksworth in the No. 41 ABC Supply Honda/Dallara.

"We can’t wait for the Indianapolis 500,” said Larry Foyt, Team President of AJ Foyt Racing. “We’ve got some strong cars this month and AERO not only helps them look great, but it is a real savings for us for the weight of the cars. We’ve also got AERO on our transporters and some equipment and have been impressed with what they have come up with for us.”

Connecticut's Lime Rock Park will play host to Pirelli World Challenge’s double-header sprint race weekend, while Germany’s fabled Nurburgring will see the AERO™ brand carried not only in the Audi TT Cup event, but also in the annual running of the huge 24 hour race this weekend.

Martin Fuentes holds the GT-A championship points lead in the No. 07 Scuderia Corsa / HUBLOT Ferrari 458 Italia after scoring a double-podium finish last weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. Ferraris are always beautiful, and fast, but the AERO™ treatment makes Feuntes’ machine a particularly compelling one to see.

Stretching across the globe, AERO™ will also be in action in Germany as the “Green Hell” stages the 24 Hours of Nurburgring. The Thilenious Group BMW Z4 will start second in class carrying the AERO™ colors, while young Paul Holton will be representing AERO™ in the Audi TT double-header race weekend as part of the support package for the traditional German event.

With AERO™ in action all around the globe, it isn’t just the drivers that will be looking to add to their record of success on this huge motorsports weekend.
