LOS ANGELES, California (September 27, 2016) -
Petit Le Mans lasts for 10 hours or 1000 miles, whichever comes first. Entering the race with a 32 points leads, Christina Nielsen and Alessandro Balzan will be rejoined by Jeff Segal behind the wheels of N. 63 Scuderia Corsa 488 Italia GT3 after winning together at Sebring and Watkins Glen.
The driving trio will also have their sights set on the GT-D title in the North American Endurance Cup, where they are currently in third position, two points behind the championship lead.
“Petit is definitely my favorite event of the entire year and I can’t wait to hit the track” Nielsen said. “We always want to finish on a good note. My dad (former Danish driver Lars-Erik Nielsen) used to say, ‘You’re never better than your last race,’ because people always remember the last race. It’s always great to do well at the end of the season.”
No. 68 Scuderia Corsa Ferrari 488 GTE will return to the GT-Le Mans class with drivers Alessandro Pier Guidi, Daniel Serra and Andrea Bertolini, where it remains in contention for the North America Endurance Championship as Pier Guidi and Serra are six points behind the championship lead.
In a limited campaign this season, #68 scored the best result to date for a Ferrari in IMSA GTLM class.The result came at Laguna Seca where Serra qualified on pole before he and Pier Guidi finished the race in second place.

We are coming to Road Atlanta with the main goal of winning the third IMSA Championship in four seasons, and attempting on the North America Endurance Championship in GTD and GTLM Classes.”
Petit Le Mans will be broadcast on Saturday, October 1 on FOX Sports 1 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM ET and FOX Sports 2 from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM ET. The race will also be streamed in its entirety for international audiences on IMSA.tv and on the FOX Sports Go app for domestic audiences.
